Benefits Unique to U.S. LawShield
U.S. LawShield is the only Concealed Carry Insurance provider that offers unlimited criminal and civil defense at extremely cheap prices. That’s only $10.95 a month, and you’ve got unlimited legal defense for civil and criminal litigation.
It doesn’t have Bail Bond & Expert Witness as a part of its basic plan, but those features can be added on for $2.95 a month, which still makes U.S. LawShield one of the cheapest options, even with extra coverage added on. This only costs $131.40 annually ($166.80 with Bail Bond coverage), which is much cheaper than the average cost of $400 to $500 a year.
They’re also endorsed by Florida Carry, which means that if you’re a member of Florida Carry, you get a discount on U.S. LawShield membership.
Having a U.S. LawShield membership also gives you special discounts and offers on guns and other firearm products at select shops across the U.S. If you check out their website, you can use their state scanner to search for benefits and deals at different shops around your hometown.
Cost and Coverage
The basic cost for U.S. LawShield makes them the most economical option by far. But adding on some extra features to your customizable plan will hike up the costs really quickly. So it’s important to see how much you are willing to spend, and what coverage you think you’ll need.
The basic coverage (without any add-ons) includes:
- Unlimited civil and criminal defense litigation coverage
- Coverage for all legal weapons
- 24/7 access to attorney hotline
- Access to independent program attorneys
- Online resources for state specific laws
- Educational videos
If you want to sign up for an insurance plan for yourself only, then the basic plan will cost you $10.95 a month, along with the initial payment including the cost of a “one-time setup fee,” which is an additional $19.95. If you choose to pay monthly, then the initial purchase will only cost $30.90, with reoccurring payment of $10.95 each month.
You can also choose to pay annually, but there is no difference in cost between monthly and yearly payments for the single plan. If you pay monthly, you pay $10.95 each time. If you pay annually, it would cost $131.40, which is 10.95 multiplied by 12, so the costs are exactly the same.
If you just want to test the waters with U.S. LawShield, then we recommend doing the monthly plan. But if you want to make sure you have constant Concealed Carry Insurance, then the annual plan will be a better option for you, so you don’t have to remember to pay for it every month.
Coverage for Couples
There is also an option for couples. But this option is different than individual insurance, mainly because paying monthly is more expensive than paying annually for couples. If you pay monthly for two memberships, then it costs $21.90, which is $262.80 annually. But if you and your partner choose the annual payment plan, it will cost $240 a year, which saves you $22.80 a year over the monthly payment option.
All of those options seem super cheap–less than the standard cost for Netflix, and it protects you from thousands of dollars of costs in legal fees, which is a lot more useful than streaming your favorite show. But the price can go up if you decide to add on any extra coverage.
There are five other coverage options you can add to your plan. Multi-State Coverage is an additional $35.40 annually ($2.95 a month), and it expands the protection from your home state to all fifty states, along with Washington D.C. So if you’re on vacation and you have to defend yourself with a gun out of state, you will still be covered by U.S. LawShield.
Gun owner Identity Theft Protection provides legal protection if someone steals your gun (which can be its own legal fiasco) and if the stolen gun is later found at a crime scene. This one is extremely helpful, and almost necessary if you own a gun, but it will add an extra expense. If you add this on, it will cost you an additional $83.40 annually (which is $6.95 more a month).
HunterShield is insurance for hunters that have unwittingly broken the law or have been accused of breaking the law, but they add an important caveat: “We do not defend poachers.” This insurance only really applies to hunters, so if you don’t use your guns to hunt, then you don’t have to worry about adding this on for $35.40 annually ($2.95 monthly).
Bail Bond & Expert Witness is $35.40 annually ($2.95 monthly), and Minor Children Coverage is $24.00. You don’t have to pay $24 per minor you add to your plan; the $24 fee includes all minors under your care.
But before you start adding up all these fees on a calculator, it’s important to know that if you start adding coverage for the couple’s plan, you have to pay for each additional coverage for each person. So if you’re both hunters, then you’d have to pay $70.80 for both of you to be covered under HunterShield.
You can choose to apply it to only one member of the plan, and the sign-up helpfully lets you pick which member gets what insurance. The only extra coverage that doesn’t require a double payment is Minor Children Coverage, which will be $24 no matter what.
U.S. LawShield is an inexpensive concealed carry insurance provider that allows you to tailor your plan to suit your needs. You get the basics with your plan, then you can add on the extras that you want.

Whenever I discuss Concealed Carry Insurance in forums, I always see many members of U.S. LawShield speak up to say how much they love them. While I am not currently a member (I get my legal coverage through USCCA), I do see them as one of the top 3 on the market.
I recommend getting a USCCA Membership and using the legal coverage that comes with being a member. However, if you choose to pass on USCCA, then I would defiantly sign up with U.S. LawShield to ensure you are covered!
